Hopefully an easy one for you. Went to a Baumatic BWD1300 today, customer reported that the machine was playing up. A quick check of the machine showed that upon selecting a wash cylce the machine fills, the motor turns for approximately 12-15 seconds before nothing else happens. Put on a spin the pump initiates and the drum spins a few revolutions and then dies. I did have a quickj check of the machine, but couldn’t see any signs of wear or damage. Plenty of life left in the brushes too.
Before I arrange to take a longer look at the machine I was hoping for a little of your experienced advice. Any would be appreciated.
Its a very basic machine, do an insulation test, if ok check harness especially behind mains filter, to dryer unit and on rail on back to motor etc, if you see no breaks etc, assuming it was filling to correct level, I would suspect module, on that machine the module tells the timer to advance as well as controlling motor, part number is X546060200H8, it’s also a old Servis module H8 type part number 546060200
Just had one other thing to check, look at the pressure switch harness, I once had one with several visits by other engineers replacing module after module and found one of the wires burnt out at F1 but still looked ok at first glance, have a good tug at them, you may find the same
