    Hi
    We have a baumatic island cooker hood that made a funny noise the other day (for a second or two) and then died! The lights are working still but the fan has stopped.

    Now being a keen diy’er i have dismantled it and have noticed the following;
    1) The fan still spins (when i push it)- so i’m guessing its not jammed/clogged?
    2) There is a current going into the switch assembly but none coming out back to the fan/motor. Is this normal? I am assuming that the supply goes into the switch unit and is then ‘switched’ back to the fan when the buttons are pressed.
    3) Reading the forum, it should be either the fan/motor or the pcb/switch.

    I am going to order a new pcb on monday from baumatic. Is it likely to be this rather tahn the fan?

    Thanks

    Ross
