    sorry no model no. customer reports d/w shows fault E4. from the guide to faults E4 is overfilling, too much water. what are the factors which can cause this….blocked/ faulty level switch, or water pressure/ faulty inlet valve…any more ??

    thanks. you are right, model is bdw13…blame the poor writing!! and my dodgy specs.. so the e4 fault points to a leak which brings in the anti flood device?

    update, went today, tray full of water..customer to decide what to do…it has been faulty since christmas so a bit smelly!! and the wiring and some components are well and truely soaked..i think i can see a skip looming.

    E4 is a really difficult one to get rid of…it can be caused by double dosing 5 in 1 tabs and rinseaid….from my experience E4 is generally a detergent related problem….the c tube that runs from the pump to top basket along the back is prone to breaking on the inside of cabinet where top basket seals to seal/nut water runs down tube into base…..only other real culprit is the wash pump motor….
