Baumatic BO788SS, (Gas) only bought it 6 weeks ago and just fitted it (secondhand) is the top oven only meant to stay alight with the door open as using as a grill, also the burner does not appear to ignite on the first burner hole from the jet so has the problem of not heating the thermo-couple, any ideas please. (Been in contact with Baumatic ! ? )

If this wasn’t fitted by a gas safe engineer I can’t give you any guidance, also if it’s 2nd hand you need the instructions for it which I would download

According to Google the top cavity is grill only no oven mode. Have had a quick look for instructions which I am unable to find. If there is a little plunger switch along the top edge of the grill compartment then yes it is open door grilling. Shutting the grill door when in use will confirm this if the flame goes out.

Sorry should have put my location as deepest Spain,NO gas safe people here,so why doesn’t the first burner hole not ignite ? (NO comeback)
