bearing replacement on hoover hnwl 7136

Hi can anyone tell me if its possible to replace the bearings on this machine without removing the drum? There is a panel at back which gives access to the support spider. It looks like the only way to get the drum out would be through the top and if thats the case then i might be better paying an engineer to do the job!

Big job best left to the experts, drum out, costly fix for an 8 year old machine.
