Hi. I have stripped down a Curry’s essential washing machine that was being scrapped. Reading on the site about the tubs being sealed the one on this machine comes apart. The Main Bearings are shot. I have removed the spider from the crumby drilling out the rivets and wondered if this can be replaced as it appears the main bearing and seal are an integral part of the spider. The rear bearing appears to be ok. Is it possible and worth it to get the parts and if so where? Thanks. R.

Sadly, as those are exclusive to Currys, I doubt anyone has access to parts info for them other than Currys themselves.

Hi. Ref your Curry`s CS10WM13 washing machine.
Bearings should be 6204 and 6205 which are very common sizes for low spin speed Chinese or Turkish made machines, The problem, as such, is the oil seal IF it is size 30×51.5/52×10 it is the same bearings as a Hotpoint 95 or wm series and you should be able to pick up a set for well below a tenner. However the oil seal could be a 35x56x10/11.5 in which case you`ll have to either order from a bearing/seal factor OR order via Curry`s partmaster part number 2054117pm at £4.44 plus rip off postage which will cost more than the seal I should think, but you don`t have to buy the bearings from them but as a job lot you might as well and you might want the tank seal too and therefore pay for one lot of postage making it worthwhile.
All this is only worth the effort so long as the inner bigger bearing didn`t go in to shrapnel mode and b*gger up the spider bearings oil seal hub.
Yes I know this stuff is cheap but that`s part of the fun and seeing how long you can keep the stuff going for.
Most Turkish Vestel or Midea Chinese machines you can dismantle and they do use common size bearings.
Best of luck with your machine.

Hi Totalshambles. Thanks for your informative reply. The main bearing was completely shot so I have decided to abandon the project and salvage the usable parts, motor, pump, etc. if anybody on the site wants them send me a post or mail rawatson1940@gmail.com. I am in the Tring area of Herts. R.

    Oh well, bad luck.
I found the info!! For anyone else this model is made by Haier ( i.e. Chinese and not Turkish ) as is C510wm12 model. I found the bearing oil seal and its part number is: 0020300441 ( Haier part number ) which is the same for C510wm12 too. Oil seal size is 35x56x10/11.5 . Best place to buy spares for these machines is Ebay and preferably from clearance firms but you have to sometimes do a bit of detective work on the X referencing because as pointed out some Curry`s essentials are Haier made from China and some are Vestel made from Turkey in the same way as Bush are. Hope this helps someone in the future
