    I have a 9 years old washing machine :
    model : Bosch WOF 2000 FF 05
    FD 7901 02331
remark: FD ?90? : I’m not too sure about those 2 numbers (7 and 1) because the label is a bit worn out.
The BEARINGS are out (since may 2006! and it still washes everyday !) ut the noise is becoming unbearable while spinning.
Is it a job I can do myself (I used to fix all things and electricity but never dismounted a washing machine) ?
Do I need special tools for that model (screw drivers…) ?
Do you have price for a full kit a bearings for that model (including the drive belt, if any) ?
    Thanks for your answers
PS : I’m french, close to Paris

    When it comes to the bearings then even the expert guys think twice before doing the job because;

    1 It is costly(In UK it will cost you b/w £100 & £150)
    2 It is a long job(atleast 2,3 hours)
3 It may be a 2 person job
According to the model you have a top loader washing machine I believe.

The bearing kits retail at around£40.It is not just opening the screws, one has to make sure that he does not damage the bearings(when putting) and also install it in such a way that it does not leak even after one puts everything back.

It will be very hard for a normal person to do such a big job or shall I say do successfull repair if you have not done it before.

Best to call a pro in your area.

    Regards

    Thanks for your answer…
Indeed it’s a top loader machine.
Also after having read some messages on this very interesting forum, I ve noticed that it can be pretty hard specially to extract the old bearings when you don’t have the right tools …
So my idea is done : gonna buy a new one …
    Thanks again
