From the noises it is making I fear the bearings are going on my Miele W919 washing machine. Could someone possibly give me an idea how much of a job it is to replace them? I did replace the bearings on my previous machine (a Hotpoint) and that took for ever, so this time I am reticent about starting before I have an idea what I am taking on or before calling an engineer to do it for me!

Hello be sure it is the bearings the bearings dont go very often on these machines at all i have seen loads of miele and not once had to do the bearings! it is a big job and miele price the bearing kit in the region of £120 just for the bearings!! nothing else! think you would be better getting an engineer in first to make sure it is the bearings and not something else like something in the drum, pump, shock absorbers etc very good machines just expensive

    cheers

Hi philfish. Many thanks for the advice. I have a (Miele) dishwasher that needs attention too, so I may see if I can tie the two together in one visit.
