ParticipantCalled at this job today, To fit a new door boot to the above W/M. The model number prefix should have warned me that it was going to be a total Git of a job. And it was , 1Hr 45 and I was no nearer to getting this seal fitted than the minute I arrived. First time in more than 20Yrs that I have given up on a simple door boot change, Has any one ever fitted one of these seal and if so how the hell did you do it 👿 No dont tell me just give me the number of Fagors agents and I will tell the customer to call them or better still just scrap the piece of junk and by a decent machine
i.e Servis,Indisit,HP WMAs At least you can fit a door boot without breaking down in tearsBad Day and I missed the first half of the footy

Yeah, I was still working first half. I think this one is one of the infamous “tank out” machines. I keep a couple of Zanussi gaiter springs on the van for “odd” door bands which don’t want to go back.

I did think of the Zan spring but this pile of dung’s tub front door seal lip was about 5mm deep. I could just get the seal on but as soon as you tried to get the Late Hotpoint type clamp on I just kept pulling off the seal from the other side Gerrrrrrrrr.
Any way the second half was quite entertaining. Peter Crouch 😮 I cant make him out I use to think he was the most ungainly player I have ever seen play But 5 goals in 2 games, Who needs Rooney 😮

KeymasterShockingly, I’ve done one of these. 😉
No, you don’t have to take the tub out, it does however require a certain dexterity and a clamp. Clamp it on and work from there, IIRC I used a set of mole grips, persiverance and a load of swearing.
All the FU range is the same.
And now Connect agents have the hassles. 😆

I only ever did one Fagor door seal, a black rubber thing on a washer dryer, many years ago when Comet first started selling them. I have never done another, a hateful job. 😥

Thanks Guys for thr replies, This job was for a letting agent That I do some work for and I was just so pleased to pass it back to them with the phone number for RepairCare’ Got a feeling the landlord might scrap the machine and start again when he gets the price for an agent to call and replace the door boot. I even left the door seal on site because as sure as S@{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d}T
