WAE24468GB/17 having selected a programme wont start but just beeps twice. I discovered that the door interlock has blown a track on the module that supplies the interlock. So, I’ve ordered a new interlock and plan to solder a link wire over the damaged track in the hope the module isn’t bu$$ered. Fingers crossed……
Has anyone come across this fault before meanwhile?

After my visit my customer realised machine still under guarantee (22 months old) so I advised she call in BSH.
Ist BSH guy calls the following week, fits an Interlock, still doesn’t work. Plugs in his Laptop and diagnoses faulty Pressure S/w. Not got one on his van, goes away……
3 days later BSH guy No2 calls, fits Pressure s/w, still doesn’t cure fault. Locates blown track on PCB, goes away…..
A few days later BSH guy No2, returns, fits module, machine fires up, drum rotates he notices motor sparking, RCD goes, orders another new PCB and motor……
BSH guy No2 returns (yesterday) fits new Motor and new PCB, machine now working ….HURRAH!
1 # Interlock
1 # Pressure S/W
1 # Motor
2 # Control PCB’s
Customer phones me to tell me the full story, and they all lived happily ever after………..Re: Beeping Bosch

Not that it did them much good when they did, after all it raised the pressure switch as faulty.
Because we dont have the laptop we would delve into the problem deeper.Now if you and I spotted a blown track on a PCB the alarm bells would ring that there may another fault that caused it, as Martin did

Agreed ,it’s like when fault codes came out on the Servis quartz ,they still didn’t tell you the obvious basics they just narrowed it down a bit .

Yeah, now that’s a point? I see where you’re coming from here Mal. Now I come to reckon it up it did megger up fine at the time having removed all the panels, the motor plug and heater terminals…. :hmm:
When my customer said BSH No2 spotted sparking from the motor at the point where it blew the new module, now that is odd, it didnt show up on his megger either, clearly.
The original module’s tracks were blown in the immediate vacinity to the door interlock plug. The motor plug connector block is at the other end of the module and tracks around there, and the heater relay for that matter, were intact, triacs and sundry too! I had no reason to suspect anything other than the interlock causing the module to blow!
Speaking up regarding the quip about “Mike the Independent” (be that Mike the Bike or Mike 0800?) Had anyone reached the same diagnostic conclusion as I did at the time, we would have all been in the brown smelly stuff!

I’ve written something in reply to Martin’s post and every time I try to post it it comes up “ForbiddenYou don’t have permission to access /forumsphpbb3/posting.php on this server.” Yet I can post anything else anywhere I like. 😕 😕

I’ve heard this happening by a couple of guys on here also Mike, very odd goings on. 😕
Which post are you trying to answer as Don has lumped the Zanussi dryer thread onto the Beeping Bosch thread, so that may be the reason….?
