KeymasterI had a call this evening just as I was pacing up to go from a John Duffy from the BBC.
At first I thought I was in the shit again for copying stories but alas, I wasn’t thankfully. He wanted to know all about fridges, their lifespan and suchlike and ways for customers to prolong their lives.
I gave him all that info and a load more besides. 😉
Well, of course I’m going to try and highlight the industry’s plights at any given opportunity and this was a golden one!
Needless to say he was most interested and I have a feeling it’s not the last contact that we’ll have with the BBC somehow.
Anyway, the upshot of it is that their doing a story for BBCi tomorrow on refrigeration in the wake of the fridge mountain crisis in Manchester and stuff from me should be quoted in that article. We should also get a link from the story to UKW which is nice. 😈
Now, when the “Everything Electrical” story broke on Watchdog we were not given a specific mention at all, we only got found because we were No. 1 in the Google search for that term, this is a direct link. So just in case the site goes absolutely bonkers tomorrow you know why in advance and that we may well get some extra attention over the next few days.
We’ll see how that one pans out.

KeymasterRe: Before It Starts
Oh come on FFS, one of you has got to be telling me I’m a loud mouthed twat so I can at least come up with some witty comebacks. I dunno, life’s no fun anymore. 😆
Anyway, on another note…
I had a researcher on the batphone this afternoon from some Channel 4 show, she’s off to learn about the WEEE Directive et all but wants to link or mention the directories on UKW, hence the post this afternoon about it. Also the reason I’m pretty keen to see the bloody thing fleshed out a bit, but there’s some really lazy fuckers in this industry.
Come to think of it the batphone went bonkers today, for the batphone anyway, at least 6-8 calls on it, next I’ll be needing some poor sod to answer that or one of the other three bloody phones!
Upshot of it is, as I said, make hay while the sun shines and hopefully this is the start of seeing some of the fruits of my labour that none of you know about. Yes, I do do stuff in the background a fair old bit as well as the in your face crap.
I’m actually not that annoyed at the quotes they used to be fair as, because it’s honest and sounds it, it makes the site and what I said sound genuine which it is, but it let’s people see that. It’s not some regurgitated shite that they can read on a manufacturer’s website and hence piques people’s interest.
To every cloud…
😉

ParticipantIf you told them the truth why should we insult you? I know it’s gratuitously amusing, but the salient points are there, if roughly put across, and it’s stirring up interest elsewhere! What more can you ask?
We’ll just do a bit of slagging on Saturday shall we?
The only comment I’d make was that the article included http://www.ukw.. etc – but not as a link, so whilst the site was busy, it didn’t explode. Demand it next time maybe?
Well done anyway,

KeymasterNo probs P and there is a direct link to UKW on the atricle to the side.. “related internet links” 😉
The good thing is the exposure and that anyone pulling up that article from here on will get the UKW URL.

This is looking good, then that bloody supercilious twat TRIGGER tells averyone in the old fashioned e-mail ring about Ken’s use of the word Crap. trying to either under-mine the situation or being bloody sarky, I don’t know.
Suspect he is miffed thet Ken’s site is getting some well deserved honours. Tee Hee.
Ken assures me he is never coming into this part of the site, too bloody bad if he does, as he will then read that he is indeed a tosser.

I must admit I chuckled a bit when I read it the first time. If the BBC chose to use it they could always have edited it but didn’t, who are we to argue with them about the media 😉
Nowt wrong with it at all, honesty is always the best policy 😀
And, yes Trigger pissed me off a bit with that email Alex 😡
