Beko 81241 stopping after 2 minutes

Beko wmb 81241 LW

I put it on the 39 minute cycle but it stops at 37 minutes. I’ve tried the 7 second single button reset but it made np difference.

I don’t know where to start looking so any help is much appreciated

what does it do before it stops ?

It hums then sounds like it’s about to fill but just halts at 37 minutes

and if you leave it do any fault codes come up ?

No I’m afraid not Dave. It just displays 37 minutes on the LCD. It does start to fill then clicks n stops at 37 minutes

ok first thing to check is the motor brushes

Ok I’ve successfully changed the brushes and it seems to run through all the test cycle but now the LCD flashes like it’s changing programs all the time

when does it flash ?

When you select a program using the roatry dial it seems to display the wrong times and then the times flicker. For exame the quick 39 minute wash flicks between 2:50 and 3:08

that sounds like the programme selector is dirty. if you can remove the panel and try to get a small amount of WD40 into the switch. dont saturate it just need anough to get inside and work the knob to clean it
