    hi all a mate of mine has been on the phone and he is saying the bottom half of his fridge is freezing everything up,the rest of the fridge/freezer is working ok.
    I seem to remember reading somewhere re this can anyone shed any light on it?

    Sounds like the ciculation fan in the top of the freezer has gone. All the cold air collects at the bottom and freezes up the btm of the fridge too. Or the top vent could just be frozen up. Nice easy job.

    thanks for reply but if the freezer fan had gone surely the freezer would not work properly?

    Yeah thats why i said maybe be just the lower vent block with ice. Quite a long evap in the freezer so it tends to do ok until it gets really frozen up when/if fan fails though.
