    Hi All,
2007 Beko AP930 Fridge Freezer has over the last few weeks randomly started clicking the ice flap open and shut over and over for several minutes at a time, then stops and works normally. This would repeat most days.
Now, the ice flap won’t open when trying to dispense ice causing ice to build up in the chute behind the flap.
The cost of parts of the shutter flap and the solenoid are relatively cheap so although I haven’t yet tried to inspect the internal parts ( how to access is another question!), I’m happy to order them and replace. My question is whether anyone has experienced the opening and closing issue since not sure if this was the cause of failure of the original flap or if something else like a PCB fault underlies the problem.
Any suggestions or comments gratefully appreciated.
    Cheers, Paul

Have changed dozens of them, but never had them opening and closing of their own accord, thinking its a faulty P.C.B, but would advise you get an Engineer to check it out for you.

    Thanks Seamy for your reply.
Unfortunately, we brought the fridge freezer with us to Adelaide when we emigrated but the brand is not widely known here. A few independent retailers have started stocking Beko but not enough for engineers to know the machine. I had to learn how to replace the fan myself the last time it broke down as a result.
I’m reasonably technical so unless there are any hidden issues or tricks, hopefully I can strip the mechanism down and replace the faulty components. Will replace both the flap and the solenoid given their relative cheapness, compared to the cost of freight!
Anything I should be aware of?
Also, and completely unrelated, what does the anti condensation button do? It’s currently pressed in, but even if I press it out, haven’t noticed any difference?
    Cheers, Paul

Think its to prevent condensation forming around door seals, theres a heater inbedded in door divide, you may find it warm to touch.

Thanks again Seamy for your reply – the machine obviously has more features on it that I knew. Currently 40 degrees in Adelaide so no need for a heater!
I have ordered the new ice flap assembly from here so now waiting to receive them – will post how I get on…..
