    Model WM6152W

Complaint of very short motor action then machine cut out. It was firing up to full speed instantly.

I went to this machine a couple of weeks ago, checked the motor, wiring, motor plug, tacho, tacho magnet, continuity from motor plug to PCB. All absolutely perfect, machine lightly used, brushes fine, insulation readings on motor good.

I replaced the PCB and it has worked perfectly for 10 days but is now doing exactly the same thing again. 😥

I have plugged in a new motor to test which also goes right into spin speed.

I have examined every inch of the wiring harness and can find no faults.

What have I missed, its not going to be worth changing both the PCB and motor.

    Jim.

Motor tacho magnet needs to be checked for cracking, which you say is o.k, have replaced P.C.Bs causing this problem several times. No idea why they fail though.

Tacho magnets on these are weak ,seen quite a few that are cracked ..Have had some success using araldite rapid steel if cracks are not too big.

But as Seamy said ,you already checked tacho ..

Yes, checked tacho very carefully as I have had them fail on the ISE (Beko)machines but not had one take out a PCB, only had to change the motor.

Forgot to mention, when it failed the first time two weeks ago she said it had been working fine and then they had a power outage and it was faulty the first time it was used afterwards.

Sadly that doesn’t explain why it failed again after several washes?
