I bought the Beko BD533AW second hand around about last Christmas, from a reputable refurbisher/seller. My brother installed the cooker, and have only just started having problems with it. This past week, the main control switch, which is just one red flick down switch on its own in a socket, has started acting weirdly. It sparked the other day, and sent a puff of small smoke out, making noises. I tested it today, and thought I’d try and put all four hobs and the oven on, but it just completely cut out, and turned the washing machine, fridge and sockets off. The main switch board switch was down for these, so I popped it back up and everything is on again. However, when I tested the main cooker switch again with just one hob, it cuts out immediately now.
I have noticed the separate grill compartment doesn’t also. Its hard to say whether it was like this when I bought it, as I’ve never used the grill, just hobs and oven.
Any suggestions on what the problem could be?
Thanks.
