Beko BDVC668W Grill Problems

Hello, our Beko BDVC668W double oven’s grill is malfunctioning.

The grill is also an oven – when the door’s shut it’s an oven, when it’s open it’s a grill, but lately when trying to grill something, the grill keeps switching off, and the oven function kicks in even though the door is still open. Turning the cooker off completely and starting again gets the grill back on, but it cuts out again after a few minutes.

I don’t think it’s overheating as it’s been left quite a while before we noticed and there was still heat coming from the compartment – it still cooks things, it just doesn’t grill them.

Any ideas?

door switch stuck?
on the side there is a striker that door pushes in to make switch, it sometimes sticks needs to be pulled out slightly i’d imagine
