I’ve got what seems to be the classic frost free fridge freezer problem of a warm fridge alongside a frozen freezer. Noticed a couple of months ago that the fridge seemed warm but just checked today it’s running at 11 degrees, while the freezer is staying cold.
The fan is running fine. Took the baffle off the back of the freezer and the top half of the evaporator had a fair bit of snowy ice build up. There was a chunk of clear ice near the bottom of the baffle, suggesting some pooled water near the bottom of the evaporator.
I’ve melted off the snowy ice and removed the clear chunk.
I gather this model has a “cool wall” to chill the fridge compartment, so does that mean there’s another fan to circulate the cold air to the fridge? The panel over the gap between the fridge and freezer doors is hot to the touch. Is there a part of the condensor in that section?
Thanks for any advice you can offer!
