The one thing I did pick up on is, why should governments who are funded by taxpayers, pick up the cost of waste appliances?

He seems guilty of hugely exaggerating the environmental credentials of their latest machines, eg 5 litre water consumption on their latest dishwasher compered to 20 to 25 litres on a 5 year old machine. I think you’d need to go back at least 25 years to get those types of water consumption figures in Europe, although I guess on recent American dishwashers, the consumption might be a lot higher.
