This is 3.5 years old The other day I noticed some food in the freezer was partially defrosted. This is the first time Ive had any problems. The fan is always kept clear of blockage and I cannot see any ice around it. The drain holes in the fridge compartment are also free of blockage. I turned the power off for 30 min and then reconnected. I could hear the compressor come on for about 4 sec then switch off. I could not hear any clicking. Later it came back on but did not get down to the correct temperature even though I turned up the control knob. I removed the control light unit and tested the 47k pot and it seems to be ok. I think in the past when I have switched on the power the compressor has just come on and stayed on until getting to the correct temperature, is that correct operation ? Any ideas where I can look. Ive fixed TV’s but no experience with these.
