I’ve had my Beko CFG1501W for around 3 years now and all has been good up until the last few days where it is making what I can only describe as a ‘snoring’ noise and the temperature in my fridge has been getting colder and colder – so cold in fact items in my salad crisper drawer are frozen (I’ve never had frozen tomatoes before)!

Any ideas what might be causing this issue and what the approx costs might be?

I’m trying to see if it’s worth repairing or if I need to get a new one? I paid £349 including delivery and Currys and Argos are still selling this exact model (I got it because it has a 40:60 ratio rather then the other way around) and the price has gone up to £399 plus delivery charges and they even charge to take the old one away on top!!

    [EDIT]

I have uploaded a 13 second clip on TikTok of the noise:

It is very likley a problem with the fridge thermistor that is buried in the insulation at the back of the fridge, it’s not a 2-minute easy job to replace that.

I’ve just done a search on YouTube and OMG that doesn’t look like the sort of repair I’d want to try and do myself!

It’s around £450 for a new one to be delivered (and the old one taken away) or Beko themselves offer a repair (inclusive of any parts) for £145 all-in. Not sure what to do for the best.
