Hello everyone, new here, but hope that someone may be able to help.
I have a Beko CG 964 fridge freezer, which has been in store for about two weeks. I have plugged it in, and although the fridge and freezer are working fine, the compressor runs continually despite what setting i put the thermostat to. is this normal on this self defrost model….. it was previously used in a utility room, where i could not hear it, so not sure how long t has done this.
    Thank you in anticipation.

Are you sure its the compressor running all the time, maybe its the circulating fan you hear

Don’t both compressor and circulating fan work together and turn off together?

    Welcome to the club.
I suspect your fridge, like mine, has run low on gas.
I ran mine for months on a timer to avoid the fridge section freezing solid.
Meanwhile I tried all sorts. New board etc.

Eventually I gave in and bought another.

They last 2 years. Just after the warranty runs out.

Thanks for your suggestions, since posting, I have turned the thermostat down to min, and after approx 2 hours it switched off. i turned the stst up again and the compressor runs, but only seems to switch off when on min. The freezer temp is -17.5, and the fridge is 6.1.

    See how we go!
