Re: beko cg964 fridge freezer problem
Re: beko fridge/freezer combi.the model no is cg 964
You may be in luck with this model as it is most likely has R134a gas which tended to sufer blocages caused by low gas charge as new. this would mean oil would be dragged around the system until it reached the evap entry which is in the freezer on this model. the oil would then freeze and restrict the flow of gas. beko’s do not tend to leak so this would be your problem. the anser is to defrost freezer to a high temp using a steem cleaner or wall paper stripper. pay particular attention to start of evap run (wire like pipe 2mm that runs into evap tube 1/4 inch) when pipe is hot start appliance and keep evap hot for 2 minutes. this should clear oil away and clear restriction. if this does not work it would mean a regas. £120 to£150. don’t go cheeper than this as it won’t last. you get what you pay for.
