Hi, I have a BEKO CGA9756FF although both the the freezer and fridge seem to be at the correct temperature (although my wife seems to suspect it keeps going in to defrost mode), the compressor sounds like its constantly running, and the front dividing area between the fridge and frerzer seems to be very hot (as does the compressor). I have tried unpluging for about 20 minutes, once plugged back in the compresoor does not start up for a couple of minutes (which I believe is normal). I noticed in the user manual that there is a warning symbol for defrost heater failure, this is not displayed but I was wondering if this is an electric heater could it be permenanty on, by a possibly short circuit relay on the control pcb (but I havent yet dismantled to find out). I’m an electronics engineer by trade (brown goods and microwaves for 10 years), but no real knowledge of freezers. Any advice greatly appreciated .
Update to above, I found other articals related on this site, so I removed the cover to expose the fan assembly and heat exchange section, hoping to find a build up of ice, very little found I left switched off for 48 Hours anyway, once switched back on fails to even get cold, so I suspect the compressor has had it, time for new fridge freezer
