beko cooker

hi its a model no. s512w in a womens refuge nobody could tell me if it ever worked properly.
the mains electricity polarity is reversed all the way back to the fuse box.
the hotplates work but the grill and the oven dont.
i checked the thermal fuse at the back and it was ok.
i dont normally look at cookers but as i was a bit quiet i thought i would have a look.
is it the selector switch or am i missing something obvious.

Not sure about the polarity business but the other thing sounds like it’s set on auto (if it has that facility) and needs setting to manual.

i am not sure about the polarity either but it has no auto or timer facility is very basic.

I have seen a few of these, it will be the selector switch, very poorly made, sometimes possible to bend connection down a bit unless already melted.
