Hey all, our beko CXF6114S fridge compartment is too cold. The temperature adjustment wheel doesn’t seem to make a huge difference. Even at minimum temp the fridge is running around 0 or sub 0 degrees. The top 30{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} of the back wet wall is frozen over, the rest is clear – I guess that is normal for a fridge which is overly cold.

I initially thought it’s the temperature wheel but, having read online, apparently it’s much more likely to be a sensor in the back of the fridge.

Before I start cutting things to bits or replacing parts for the sake, is there a good way I can troubleshoot this?

Many thanks in advance, it’s much appreciated! Not an ideal time for the fridge to go on the blink!

well there is no easy way of fault finding.
Its most likely either the board or a sensor.

the board should be round the back in a small box.
there are 2 sensors, One for defrost sensing and the other senses the fridge

in normal circumstances the manufacturer give a measurement for a sensor at a given temperature and you use a meter to measure it to make sure its within spec. Beko dont lisr the specs for the sensors on this model

of the 2 sensors the defrost on is accessible but the fridge sensor is fitted before the foam insulation is added, so unless you feel like cutting a hole in the back of the fridge its not replaceable. Beko also do not list a spare part for this although some people seemed to have found alternative sensors and managed to get them working

probably not what you wanted to hear but its the crazy way they build thing now
