ParticipantHi there, wondered if anyone could help with a bit of a problem?!
I purchased a Beko CFXG1685 fridge freezer over the weekend which was an ex demonstration and ‘sold as seen’ so no returns.
When we got it home it appears it’s missing some parts. There is a cable coming from the main unit with a blue, brown and black wire which is not attached to anything. At first we thought this was the mains but after hours searching the internet it looks as if this should connect to a starter compressor (which is missing)? There’s also no capacitor as there’s nothing attached to the three prongs on the compressor.
Now, I have absolutely no idea about fridges so would really appreciate if anyone could let me know if this is somewhere along the right lines… We need to get a replacement starter compressor which attaches to the compressor. A capacitor then connects to the starter compressor, along with the main cable?

There are five versions of it so, we’d need the product code from the rating plate in the fridge, it starts with 728********* to be able to look it up.
However, that doesn’t sound cheerful I have to say, especially if someone’s cut the wiring.

Oh blimey that doesn’t sound good. Although it doesn’t look as though cables have been cut. I’ve tried to attach some pics if they help.
The product number is 7282946313.

Well this is fun! 😕
There are three possible PTC relays used, Sensata, Arylux and Jiaxpera which will often mean that they’ve used different compressors on the production.
But here’s a digram that shows what should be there…
What I can’t tell is what is missing as some components will be used, some not but all shown on the drawing as it’s probably a generic diagram as usual.

You are also missing the mains cable.
You need to test the compressor first to make sure it is ok.
I would still return it to the seller if you purchased it from a retailer.
