Hello — Our Beko dishwasher tripped the circuit breakers, and on checking I found that a mouse/mice had been chewing at the electric mains cable and both the inlet and waste pipes. (Bless them!)

The machine is only about six months old, but rodent damage isn’t covered by the warranty.

I replaced the pipes, and cut out the damage on the electric cable, and reconnected to new cable via a 13 amp inline connector.

Now, when I plug the machine in, it bleeps once, and three seconds later there is a two tone bleep, and that is all. Nothing illuminates, nothing works. The domestic circuit breaker doesn’t trip. If I unplug it and leave it for a few minutes, it does the same thing when I plug it in again.

I have checked, checked, and rechecked the wiring, the fuse, the waste and water inlet connections, and all seem to be in order.

Any advice would be most welcome. Thanks.

    Hello Dave,
No, I don’t think they got inside the machine. I opened the base plate to change the waste pipe, and there wasn’t any sign of damage to the interior. I’ll check again later today.

    Thanks, Laurence.

No, there’s no sign of any wiring having been damaged by mice inside of the machine.
