I’ve had this dishwasher for just over 3 years. A few weeks ago I tried to switch it on, but it was completely dead. No lights turned on, as though there was no power to it whatsoever. I tried another appliance in the plug socket and it worked fine. It’s a double socket. The washing machine is on the other socket and that has been ok.

A few days later I tried to switch it on and it worked. Did a full cycle with no problems whatsoever. I think it carried on working perfectly for around 2 weeks after that, then stopped again.

Since then it is now working for a couple of days at a time, then stopping for a couple of days and so on. Other than on one occasion when it hadn’t drained properly it is working perfectly ok. On the occasion when it hadn’t drained I bailed most of the water out by hand. It wouldn’t work again when I tried to switch it on, but did the next day.

I don’t know whether I should give in and buy a new one. I would imagine that if I got someone out, if it happened to be working when they came, then it would be difficult or impossible to diagnose the fault, and I would be throwing good money after bad.

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. It’s a fully integrated dishwasher (don’t know if that makes a difference).
