Does program but no heat.Heater Ok.Only one thermostat clamped to the bottom of the tub.I assume this is ntc device and its faulty.Are there any more thermostats on this m/c?Clockwork timer and everything easily accessible but first one Ive been to.

If the machine is controlled by a mechanical timer it will have a thermostat/thermostats not an ntc thermistor. Dishwasher thermostats are sometimes located inside the door, in which case what you’ve found will be a toc which may have operated as a result of a thermostat or timer fault.
