Hi everybody.
I’ve also been told that I should replace the thermal fuse. Does it matter which way the thermost is wired?

If it’s just breaking the live supply, no.

I afraid I don’t know what that means.

Hi Mike,
It will just have two wires going to it that will break the live supply usually (I’ve not looked it) or the neutral to cut the power if it’s tripped. Any more than two wires and you can’t be guessing at it.

Hi, Sorry to drag up an old thread.. I searched on Google and it brought me here.
I too am having the same problem with the oven, however I’ve also got one hob out too. Grill working fine and other 3 hobs fine.. Is this related? Has the oven maybe blown a hob fuse?
Also, do I need to buy both the fuse and the thermostat? The fuse doesn’t say it’s for a Beko D533, but for a D533w? Will that make a difference?
Thanks 🙂

No problem, it’s good to keep relevant stuff on one thread.

More probably an element faulty, hob element that is as there’s no fuse on then to my knowledge.

No, the “W” is just the colour, white.

That’s great thank you. I’ll order them now before I forgot. 😆
Okay, I wasn’t sure if the hobs had fuses or not, I’ll have a nosey around the forum and see if I can find a hob element one.
Thanks for your help.

If it’s electric it should be one of the elements listed here: http://shop.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/beko-hob-elements

So to recap:
I continuity-tested (after disconnecting the lugs);
– temp sensor (on left, looking into the back with the cover off)
– fan motor (in center)
– oven element
All showed low resistance, as expected (= good circuit).Next, at the panel rotary control, the resistance was full in the off pos, then dropped when turned just-on, then varied when knob turned.
(without disconnecting the knob)So I’m not sure which bit to blame – there were little white things on the right side of the back which resembled power transistors, could they be the issue?
Also, how does one check the neon telltale lights ?
thanks

ParticipantHi there. New member here, sorry to reignite this old top but my parents oven has had the same thing happen to it as the OP.
Not sure if any of the guys that fixed still post on this, but if so could they tell me what part it was that was needed to fix the problem?
Thanks

Moderatordo you have a model for your oven ?
if its like the beko units above then some have a thermal cutout at the rear of the oven which does fail and shuts off the whole oven

ParticipantYeah it was the beko d533 over same problem. The over doesn’t work and the light for the hobs doesn’t come on but the jobs heat up along with the grill.
