ParticipantI have a BEKO D533 which has developed a fault (typically 1 month after the guarantee expired) what has happend is that the main oven no longer works, there is no light and the fan does not move. The hob works but the light indicating it is on no longer comes on and the seperate grill still works.
Anyone have any ideas as to what might be wrong
Thanks

If the oven won’t do anything, there is probably a fault with the selector switch/thermostat unit in th econtrol panel. Top deck off to find out.
Power off first.

Hi.
Just a thought. Might be worthwhile contacting Beko to see if they will cover it as I have has experience of them doing so on appliances just out of warranty. Depends on circumstances but if you don’t ask, you don’t get.

I can’t believe i am having exactly the same problem as you. Cooker went out the other night, i have the same model oven.
Did you find out what the problem was?

Can someone help me with this problem, really need to get this fixed soon.
Took the back off today to have a look around and test a few things with the multimeter.

Tested continuity on the above (red) seems ok.

Tested continuity on the above (white lower), no continuity and the white cable had turned a little brown.
Would you think that this is the problem with my cooker?
Any help is much appreciated.

If it is open circuit then yes that is a problem.

Hi. Really sorry to drag up an old thread, but whilst searching for an issue I have with my cooker Google brought me directly to this thread, as I am having the exact same issues as lozza69er and the OP, on the same make and model. I was wondering whether anyone knew what the item that lozza69er replaced was? I’m guessing that it was some kind of internal thermal fuse, but wanted to make sure.
Seeing that lozza69er has only posted the 3 posts above, it’s unlikely that he/she is an active user, but maybe one of you other guys has an idea.
Thanks in advance.

K.
Thanks kwatt. I’ve had the rear of the cooker off and thought it may have been one of these (there seems to be 2. One leading to 2 red wires and the other to 2 whites). Considering how cheap they are it’s well worth a punt just to eliminate it from the problem.
Thanks again.

Just thought I’d post back to say thanks for your help kwatt. Item arrived today, fitted in just a few minutes and oven now works perfectly.
For anyone else who comes across this thread with the same issues:
1) Order the part in the kwatts link above
2) Turn off power source and disconnect cables from rear of cooker.
3) Remove rear panel with phillips head screwdriver
4) Locate connection on right hand side, mid way down the unit (two white wires leading to the part identical to the one you’ve purchased)
5) Unscrew the old thermostat and remove wires one connector at a time, making sure you connect them the exact way they come off.
6) Attach new thermostat. Reattach rear.
7) Screw wires back in, making sure the copper links are attached soundly.
8.) Turn on plug and oven

My problem is slightly different. The oven fan and light are OK, I just have no heat. I have removed the back and can see the two thermal fuses on the right-hand side, the upper with red wire and the lower with white wire. I don’t quite understand how to replace the fuse with the thermostat, if this is what is required in my case. Do I have to cut out the fuse and then attach spade connectors so that it will attach to the thermostat?

Hi
If the fan and light are working the element has failed.

NB to all beko owners attempting self-fixes = always be weary of the concrete weights bolted to back panels of these, very nearly broke a finger when putting the back panel of a beko back on, and the screw jumped back out.
