ParticipantHi,
I’ve been out to a Beko condensor dryer and the original fault was that it was tripping the mains.
It turned out to be one of the thermostats on the heater had a short to earth.
I’ve been to fit the element today, all was well, its not tripping but it just wont heat.
I presume its done damage to the pcb, but i was just wondering if there is something simple that i’m missing. All help appreciated,
Cheers
Nick

Yes thought so mate, assuming the new element is ok then it may well of damaged the board

Yes, the new element seamed to read OK, but I was just getting live at all the connections coming to it. Thought it would be a pcb just never had to swap one as of yet.

Looking at circuit diagram the heater is switched via the board on the live and you should be getting a neutral feed from on/off switch and not via the board?

Neutral from the on/off switch. Thats interesting, i’m going to have another look at it today and i’ll check that out.

Hi Dave,
Never got to know the real outcome. I tested everything and just came to the conclusion that the pcb had blown when the stat shorted. The customer just wrote the machine off.
Sorry
