    Hi

Everytime this machine is powered ON, it lights up on the front. As soon as the START/STOP button is pressed it trips out the main house circuit immediately
Ive disconnected and removed the heating element and this stops the tripping. However, a resistance check across the terminals measures 25/30 ohms, which for a 230v/1800w element is correct using ohms law? Have I missed something? Are there other known faults for this problem? Could it be the motor?
    Any help much appreciated
    Many thanks
    Regards

    mick

You need to do an insulation test on the element

As my learned friend said do an insulation test on the element & you may find theres an earth fault on it.
