Beko DFN1000x Dishwasher not heating.

Machine goes through cycle but water never heats. Cold during drying part of the cycle.
Heating element reads approx. 3 Megohms when removed from machine. Thermistor reads open circuit. Have ordered replacement thermistor but it’s been a long time since I worked on dishwashers and not sure if thermistor should be O/C when cold.
Anything else it could be? Any thermal cut out in the circuit anywhere (didn’t see one)?.
