Beko Dishwasher DWD5411 – salt problems

I have a call from a customer who I am going out to visit on Monday morning regarding her dishwasher, she says that the salt light comes on even though the salt has been topped up.

She says it doesn’t washes well – bit vague on that description but to be honest I am not familiar with salt as I never worked on salt problem. I am used to topping them up rather than fixing it.

What are the tips I need to look out for and what are the possible solutions to rectify?

Stir the salt in chamber after filling to dissolve saline solution. Theres a float in the tank that operates a reed switch which gives feedback on the salt level. Fine cable from this & from water counter breaks in loom below door sometimes/
