I have a Beko DL1254 dish washer which pumps really well on a cold wash (open the door and water nearly hits my ceiling) but when on a hot wash with detergent it hardly pumps at all, wont turn the bars and just trickles through. I have checked the filters etc, seems the temperature is affecting it. could the pump motor spindle be spinning inside the impeller? when hot it expands and slips, is this common? cant think what else. I am a qualified electrician and capable diy person with most of the test equipment needed, workshop etc. Hoping i can be pointed in the right direction before i get stuck in, thanks chaps. Frazer

    Too much detergent perhaps?
Suds are harder to move than water.
    How old is it?

Hi, its 18 months old. I was given it today and i have been testing it with the hope to fix it and replace our smaller one. Our family is growing and so is the usage of crockery! original owner reported no pump at all but he is not technical. interestingly this test next run is at 50deg with no detergent and its working fine at the mo, first wash was 70 with detergent when the pump flow reduced and i posted here, and yes it looked really foamy. ill post back after this 50deg no detergent wash has finished, thanks SDeamy

an update, in case anyone had the same problem as me. DOH! Seamy was correct, it was too much suds, the previous owner had filled the rinse aid with washing up liquid and when i first run it on the hot wash there was the remnants of the old tablet in the system + my new tablet, all added up to a foam out! after 3 flushes with no tablet and cleaned rinse aid pot, i was able to do a hot wash with one new tablet with no problems, hope this might help someone.
