    This one has me stumped.
Main oven stopped working after electrics tripped.
Sounded like a straightforward element thing, but no.

Indicator light not coming on, no fan, no heat, nothing. Everything else apart from the main oven works, including clock, grill/oven, hobs etc.
Checked everything. All seemed in order, continuity and insulation wise. The only thing I wasn’t sure about was the fan, it’s marked 21W, but resistance was c.190 Ohms, so replaced with new 21W fan (resistance is c.275 Ohms).
Started checking the wires continuity, there’s a couple of ohms there. Customer flipped switch off and on at the consumer unit.

Put everything back together and tried again, the indicator light for the main oven now comes on when it didn’t before, but still no heat or fan running.
Would appreciate any pointers of what could be going on here.

timer is always first to check as it controls main oven only

    have sent you wiring diag

can see why you thought fan but element would still get hot even if fan fails completely

Thanks Dave, hopefully will have another look soon. The customer is a friend and not in a hurry to replace the cooker yet as smaller oven and hob work.

    It’s a weird one.

Did you look at the comm switch and was there any sign of arcing/burning as apart from the obvious that’s all I can think on.

Haven’t had another look yet, I did check absolutely everything… apart from the timer because I assumed it worked as it was showing the time, so I think it’s likely to be that as Dave suggests.
I asked customer to try programming it and sent over the link to the manual, but haven’t heard back yet.
