    Hi

I have a Beko DRCS 68S that’s driving me up the wall. It keeps tripping out the house MCB every time I switch it on. I’ve checked the heater and examined the front panel circuit board and I can’t find any obvious faults.

When I power it on, the dryer powers on and delays for about two seconds before the mains breaker trips. This tells me that the dryer is going through some sort of self-test before the short occurs that trips the power.

My thoughts now are that the fault lies with the motor and maybe worn brushes or carbon build-up causing a short, but the motor seems to be enclosed with no obvious way to gain access.

How do I gain access to the motor on this model in order to check the motor brushes and clean the armature?

    Thanks

its an induction motor, and no brushes

unplug the heater and run it without it attatched, see what happens
