Recently my small belt on my beko drvs73w broke. I bought a new belt online and it came with a new fly wheel with the instruction that it had to be replaced at the same time. I eventually got the fly wheel replaced myself but couldn’t get the new belt on so I gave in and got an engineer out to do it. My problem is that during my working on the dryer a spring has became disconnected at one end. The spring is attached to the dryer housing but myself and the engineer cannot figure out where the other end goes. The spring is almost below the motor to the right of it if you are looking from the rear. Can anyone tell me where this spring should be attached to?

    Thanks for reading.

Attached to motor to keep tension on it. If you look at right hand side of motor from rear, the hook of spring should fix to screw that runs along the length of motor.

Thank you Seamy. Will speak to the engineer on Monday. The screw we felt but can’t get a good view as I couldn’t get that side of machine of. Engineer felt that attaching here would short the motor so that’s why we hadn’t done that.
Cheers again, will get back to you with the result.

No need to take side off, all can be done easily through aperture where vent hose exits.

    Correction to above!
I did a few of these today & theres a gap in the motor casing just to front of where the screw runs, spring is mounted with short hook to bottom bracket of motor, longer section with hook goes to this cut out in motor casing, keeping tension on belt.
