beko drvt71w belt replacement

hi all had one of these beautys with the small motor belt burnt out , i have the new belt but i found it impossible to fit the large drum belt back in place it needs to be stretched way too much so much so that i broke the plastic motor bearing cap anyone have any info on these thx

This is surely a machine with a sprung motor that you crank over and release once the belts over the pulley?

thats the one ,easier said than done though , through the small hatch at the back for the vent cover !!

Make 1 of these.c00098111 old Hotpoint Ariston creda belt fitting tool locate the ring And weld the ring washer further up the shaft. its still tight to slide the belt down a bit but it does work on the job and saves a sweat on 😉

Its Save the Trauma of using a very long screwdriver and a crowbar and Claret dripping on the customers floor .
