Hi all. So our Beko DSC85W stopped heating yesterday (still runs normally, as far as I can tell, just no heat, so clothes weren’t drying).

I’ve looked online for the usual suspects, and carried out the following checks:

•Thermal cut-off on element housing (was initially tripped, but when reset shows continuity on my ohmmeter).

    • Thermistor on element housing (at least I assume that’s what it is) – 33k ohms when cold, resistance drops when heated with a hairdryer • Element itself shows approx 100 ohms between white and red wires.

As far as I can work out, these figure seem to be within typical limits. I can’t see any sign of other sensors.

Is there anything else I should check before I assume it’s the PCB at fault?

you are reading across 2 elements

    you have 2 elements
    1600 W 32 ohm
    700 W 73 ohm

    make sure both are there

Thanks for that. Yes, you’re right; have double checked and exactly as you say: 104 ohm total, 32/72 split.

Have also checked the NTC thermistor at the front (under the lint filter) and that’s reading about 14k ohm cold, drops when heated.

Can’t find anything out of the ordinary, but still no heat.

dont forget the relays on the board can fail and also be subject to failed solder joints

    ntc values listed below

Thanks so much for this. My NTC R values don’t seem wildly off, considering it’s closer to 10-15°C in my garage where the drier is.

I’ve just (carefully) checked for voltage on the heating element’s supply lines, and I can’t find anything there whilst the machine is running. Am I right to assume from this that the control board is failing to deliver?

I would check the control board for bad solder joints on the relays and the relays themselves
