Our Condenser Sensor Beko DSC85W purchased 2014 (not the model that had to be recalled due to fire risk- a year newer) trips the mains when the power button is pressed.

Filters have been checked as has the plug fuse. Also, the two sensors at the front of the machine have also been cleaned with vinegar as directed in the manual.

My main quadary, is at nearly 4 years old and at a initial cost of £220 is it worth calling out a electrician and trying to get it fixed or
cost wise, simply replace at a similar cost.

Beko had a problem with the temp sensor on the heater on that model

chances are that what the fault is. provided nothing else has blown changing the element may cure it

Thank you for your reply. Unfortunately as I am in my 70s and disabled my wife has no faith in my ability to attempt a repair. Also, as she has been without the use the dryer for over a week and call -out fees, labour and parts costs, make it impractical to ask for professional assistance. Plus the dryer is 4 years old and cost £220. She has bought a new dryer which has a free 5 year warrantry and free next day delivery and taken the matter out of my hands. Thank you again for taking the trouble to reply.
