    My Beko DSFN1534B won’t go through the full wash cycle. It just turns on and makes the same humming noise without going into a proper wash cycle. It’ll just sit there for hours instead of doing the 30 minute cycle I want it to do.

    First noticed a problem when it the dirty water wouldn’t clear at the end of a cycle. As a result of that I’ve:

    Cleaned the filters; removed the end of the hose that goes into the section under the kitchen sink and drained out the water; put in some sink unblocker into the dishwasher and sink plugholes and cleared it through;

    It now can drain itself and ‘sounds’ like it’s filling with water but won’t kick into the proper wash cycle (the tablet compartment is always shut). The odd time it looks like it’s worked the tablet is a slightly soggy mess at the bottom and not properly dissolved but there’s been no water left.

    Not sure what to do next? 😕

    Does it make a humming noise, if so there’s a problem with the wash pump

    Is there perhaps an overspill of water into the base, perhaps activating the float switch. This would occur all the time and sound as if drain pump running constantly.
    If hum is quite faint it may be a kinked inlet hose for instance, inlet valve humming looking for water but because of restrictio noot filling quickly enough.
    Power off of course when doing any investigation.

    If there was a problem wit the draining which now you have now sorted then as seamy suggested it will of spilt water into the base and activated the anti flood device. Switch off appliance place a towel to one side and tip the appliance slightly toward the towel and water will spill out this should reset it.
