ParticipantHi,
I’m having issues with my Beko DSFS 6831 since a couple of weeks. The lower spinning arm is clearly not spinning at all.
I replaced it, but the issue’s still not fixed.I run the test cycle, the cycle stopped at #5 and the display was blinking: b:SL
the water was still in the machine, therefore I pressed the start button to resume the cycle.
The water was drained and the error code shown at the end was: E:5Any suggestion?
Thanks a lot!!!

if it is error 5 then listed as
3W Valve Position Error (if applicable)
since this valve controls the flow through the bars that may answer your prob

thanks for the prompt answer
I’m trying to find a manual or a post that can help me out in:
-understanding what the 3w valve is and where it’s located
-since it’s position error…can it be fixed without replacing it?March 15, 2018 at 5:22 pm #454753electrofix

mounted underneath item 7612
don’t forget the timer is saying is out of position and this unit may be faulty but also It may be the timer not telling it to move

is there a way to check if it’s the valve faulty or if it’s the timer?
I read that I can test the valve for electrical continuity and I’ll check it this weekend.

I would like to avoid buying a spare part that I actually don’t need (it’s not that cheap)March 15, 2018 at 6:08 pm #454755electrofix

you would have to check for power going to the motor and if it was not turning then replace it
you could remove it and power it up off the machine and see if it turns but don’t forget to take care with mains electricity

Looking at the 3w valve, it looks like the hole is not perfectly aligned (see attachment)
Is it supposed to be like this or should I try to fix it?
is it worth try fixing it or is it better to buy a new one?March 17, 2018 at 2:49 pm #454758electrofix

it is supposed to turn when in use
if you power up the motor ( taking care with main elec) it should turn. if it does not its faulty

I have just replaced the 3W valve, the arm is spinning properly now!
however, the test cycle did not drain the water.
is there a setting to manually start the drain cycle?March 24, 2018 at 12:17 pm #454760electrofix

at the start of any cycle it drains first
of the programme is running reset it and it should drain.
