Beko DW 601 not filling with water

I have had the dishwasher for 4 years now. I run it usually at night.

A week ago the dishwasher was still running in the morning and when I opened it the dishes had not been washed. Hence, I started the machine again and it made all the appropriate noises of draining water first and I could hear water running as if the dishwasher was filling with water but then after an hour still absolutely dry and dishes had not been washed. There is no dirty water or any odour. I have cleaned the filter, the arms and have tried to reset it but it still appears that it is not filling with water. Dishwasher continues to make all the appropriate noises and there are no lights flashing. Please help. 🙁 .

you say you can hear water as if it was filling but is it
open the door and look after you hear the noise

does it go quiet as it fillls can you hear the pump stop and then it sounds like it fills ?
