Mind boggling on how can this be burnt out? This dishwasher was just out of 2 years guarantee.

I replaced it with new float switch and the connectors on the leads.

    Hi

Check the diverter valve just above the float switch. I have had about 3 leak water directly onto the switch causing it to burn out like this.

    Thanks Geoff,

I replaced the float switch unit as the original was completely destroyed. I am assuming that the whole unit have the diverter valve on it. The new switch was no better than the original as there were no protective sleeves between the points. I had to replace the plugs on the lead for insulated plug. Shouldn’t that be safety issue with Beko?

Beko are no strangers to lighting fires and I’m sure a fault like this qualifies a recall.

Perhaps that’s why you chose to post this in General rather than Technical anyway?
