I have a Beko Dishwasher that fills with a small amount of water that barely covers the bottom of the dishwasher. When I turn it on it drains, fills slightly and then nothing happens for several minutes. It then drains again and fills again and continues to do this. I have checked the overflow float which is fine and checked most components with a multimeter. There are no leaks or water in the tray underneath. I have already replaced the water inlet valve and the thermistor due to it not working properly a few weeks ago. Can anyone please help? I don’t want to waste money on parts that are not necessary nor on someone to come out or even worse to replace it altogether.

    Thanks

You’ll only get about that amount of water in it, that sounds correct.

If it fills then does nothing, do you mean there’s no wash action at all? And, have you tried it on a rinse only?

    Re: Beko DW602 Dishwasher

    Hi thanks for your reply,

The amount of water is just around the filter in the middle and not over the whole base. I have taken the sides off and I can see the water filling in the tank. I can leave it for an hour or longer and in that time, a bit of water comes in after a few minutes it drains out and it repeats this without any water going through the arms. I have tried resetting and different programmes and even added additional water. I didn’t know if it was the capacitor but now wondering if it’s the water flow meter.

    Thanks

Could well be the watercounter at fault here its accessed by removing the left side panel and the internal fill hose from the water valve connects to the bottom of it .

    Thanks,

Would that be the same as the water flow meter?

power off and plug out ,remove the outer door panel look at where the cables go under the door at the bottom ,you are looking for 2 thin purple wires one of them will be broken.

Thanks, do you mean remove the cupboard door panel as it’s integrated?

Most likely fine wires broken in loom, as Lawrence said previously, wires to Thermistor or Flowmeter likely are broken. Appliance should count 4 litres of water before powering up wash pump, if it doesn’t get signal from flowmeter then it goes to finish program’, emptys.

I will take a look. Could it not be the pcb in the water flow meter? Thanks

I’d replace the watercounter/flowmeter first but let us know how you fare once sorted

    Re: Beko DW602 Dishwasher

Does anyone know if the part SKU: 1760900100 would work. I assume it would as it says for DW600. The part number is slightly different my part is 176090xx00

    Thanks

    Re: Beko DW602 Dishwasher

Just fitted the new flow meter with little improvement. At first it filled with more water but the water never got hot and it hasn’t been pumped through the arms. I have tried different settings and it now seems to be as bad as previously. What else can I try or should I bite the bullet and either get someone to look at it or buy a new one, it seems like a waste of money on the parts I have replaced so far.

    Thanks
