hi, looking for some help/advice for my Beko DW603 dishwasher.
went to perform a cycle and noticed after a while the cycle had stopped and was no longer in operation.
I checked inside and the cycle had started as there was water at the bottom of the dishwasher.
I checked that it was shutting properly and tried the cycle again but this time the cycle didn’t start at all. I’ve checked the filter and emptied the water at the bottom and cant see any noticeable blockages.
I’ve tried a “test” cycle but nothing happens with that either.
Does anybody have an idea what the issue is?

well I would check pump first
if its jammed with a small bit of glass etc then you will get silence on switch on

Thanks Dave, how do I get to the pump? Is it by removing the front panel at the bottom of the dishwasher?
would this stop the cycle from attempting to start?

with the water drained out it should not stop it starting
what it will do is make is completely silent for the first 2 or 3 mins when the pump would normally run. so you may think its not started

to get at the pump, remove plug, remove cover at the bottom under door

the pump is twist to unlock but there is a plastic catch so you have to depress this as you turn it. can be fun to get at sometimes and hard to find on some models

Hi, sorry for not replying sooner, I got to the pump and there wasn’t anything obvious blocking it and the blade/fan span around smoothly. I wiped it down and around where it connected and when I started a cycle it actually started for 10-15 seconds but then stopped. Any thoughts on next steps?

I assume you mean the pump ran then went quiet

next we need to check the inlet valve as that would be next in sequence to run

Where abouts is that located? What would I be checking for?

the inlet hose scews directly on the valve. the valve has a coil which should measure between 3000 to 5000 ohms. if you get no reading or in the hundreds of thousands its dead

remove 1 wire at least before testing and dont forget to remove mains plug

Ok thanks, I don’t have the equipment to measure that so I will have to get an engineer in to look at it.
    thanks for you help!
