Been to see a beko dw686. The wash pump does not circulate the water.that is until you remove the lower spray arm and poke a screwdriver through the hole into the base give it a gentle tap, shut the door then hey presto the water starts circulating, i know there is a three way valve below the spray arm could this be the problem or is it a sticky washpump, anyone else had this problem?
    Thanks for looking

Never had a sticky pump or diverter valve before…but if tapping the valve disc from above gets it going then that has to be the problem?

You might be able to pop it open to see if a bit of glass or china is in there…but they’re quite cheap anyway…

Thanks Clive it’s an odd one cause after getting it to circulate. Then open and shut the door again and it doesn’t start again. Am I right in thinking that the valve would be still in the same position (open) so if the door was opened and shut it would still work? Not sure if I understand what I just wrote lol.

Sorry to resurrect an old thread, but I’m having similar problems with one. I changed the wash pump and it seemed ok after, but the customer tels me it’s still not washing properly. Does anyone know why the wash pump is so complex with that pcb inside it? What function does it perform?

it will be a 3 phase motor and the board changes 240v mains to variable frequency 3 phase AC. There are 2 connections to the pump. Mains and data then the board alters the speed according to the data
